Bringing together brilliant women who can talk from experience, share with compassion (and a sense of humour) and empower with positivity and knowledge.

Created in 2020, Midlife Agency is a co-operative team of entrepreneurial women, each running our own successful business, who have all reached midlife and menopause. Between us, we hold a number of qualifications across health, nutrition, coaching and general practice, and have personal experience of working at all levels of business, from Boardroom to entry-level roles.

We create workshops and sessions bespoke to each of our clients, using our experiences in our fields to create the most suitable and helpful approach. We weave our professional expertise into practical and informative material in easy-to-access talks, workshops, training, action-learning modules, Q&As and learning sessions.

We've been acknowledged for our attention to detail, friendly style, warmth of delivery and generosity in creating projects to fit.

We know that women want to be part of the dialogue of support, rather than be 'told what their problems are'.

We invite women to be actively part of the conversation.

We know that we are all learning, all of the time.

Angela Christie

Following 30 years working in oncology drug development, Angela describes herself as a corporate survivor.

A senior leader in global pharmaceutical companies, including five years with the UK’s largest cancer charity, has given Angela experience of the not-for-profit sector and she is well-placed to understand the challenges and vocational motivations of working within a mission-driven environment.

In search of a kinder, more sustainable way to live and work Angela stepped away from corporate life in her early 50s, and retrained as an ICF accredited coach.
Angela works with professionals to help them to navigate their midlife experience, regaining their sense of purpose, recognise the opportunities at this stage of life and grow into ‘the next bit’ in a way which is authentic.
Her midlife highlights are swapping her corporate ‘uniform’ for wellies and dungarees and the constraints of sedentary office life for daily doses of outdoor freedom!

Dr Kate Little

Kate has worked as a doctor in the NHS for almost 30 years in a variety of medical and educational roles. She currently works as a GP supporting health care professionals with mental ill health, and as a coach.

Kate has previously worked in GP education, as a clinical champion for physical activity with Public Health England, functional medicine and launched a website for doctors talking about mental ill-health and burnout.

Kate is passionate about health and wellbeing, and how we can co-manage these through lifestyle. She is seeing an increasing number of women like herself, juggling the challenges of midlife and the menopause so joining the Midlife Agency Programme team was a perfect fit.

Kate has always loved being active and outdoors, especially in the mountains. When not working or with family, she can usually be found on the tennis court or out walking the dog.

Gemma Clarke

A campaign executive producer by original trade, working for over 30 years with cultural organisations including the BBC, arts companies, theatres and galleries.

As a qualified lecturer and accredited coach, Gemma saw how many women were juggling high-powered, high-profile roles trying to discover where menopause and midlife fit in and set about creating specific 'women in midlife' training and coaching programmes. Building on her award-winning campaigns in the cultural and broadcasting sector, the Midlife Agency co-operative model was born.

Gemma's midlife highlights so far are happily consigning high heels to history and finding an excuse to indulge in her twin passions of reading and chocolate, all in the name of midlife research.

Catherine Pearce

The majority of Catherine’s career has been at Oxford University Press – the largest university press and one of the UK's largest charities.

Catherine is passionate about supporting women to successfully and joyfully navigate their midlife years following her own personal experience: the perfect storm of professional, physical and emotional change and loss - which resulted leaving her board-level position. She wishes she has the Midlife Agency programme 10 years ago to explain what was happening and support her to make positive choices.

Catherine has retrained as an ICF professional coach, and now supports organisations and individuals through important life and career transitions. She has recently qualified as a yoga teacher which has given her a new appreciation of mind/body connection and what self-care really means.

Her menopause highlights so far are enjoying the brain fog lifting and being able to think again!
